I have always had a passion for reading and writing (if you’ve read some of my previous blog posts – you’ll know). Building a network of like-minded people for myself has been important. I found this in the Sigma Tau Delta International English Honors Society, an organization I was honored to be inducted into today.
This induction gave me a network of people spread throughout the world who share my same interests. It was worth it to be able to find this very special, academically driven group of individuals. While my time in Sigma Tau Delta at Bryant will be short, this is a lifetime title I plan to carry with me throughout my journey.
Whatever your passion is, do it! I can’t stress enough how much I have loved finding the right people for me across campus. I don’t mean just with Sigma Tau Delta and my passion for Literary and Cultural Studies. I have found people with the same drive as me, same ambitious behavior as me, same idea of fun as me…the list goes on. However, some of the very best people in my life are the ones who are most different from me. Recognizing and appreciating our differences is a great way to learn and grow as people.
I am so honored to be a part of this wonderful society on campus! Here are some pictures from the induction today:
Live in love,
