How to Enjoy the Warm Weather at Bryant!

Spring is almost here! As midterms approach in the coming weeks, we were treated with some beautiful weather this past week. So of course, we were excited to get outside and relax! Here are a couple different ways Bryant students have fun in the sun during spring semester:

Study by the pond! We have a gorgeous campus here at Bryant, with all our main buildings revolving around the pond at the middle of campus. So when springtime comes, a lot of students grab their towels and backpacks and have a nice study session outdoors on the lawn. And with midterms coming up, there’s no better place to relax than the great outdoors.

Start a pick-up game! Grab a Frisbee, a football, a baseball, you name it! Walk across campus on a nice sunny day and you’ll see two-hand touch football on the athletic fields or a game of knockout on the basketball courts. There’s always someone who willing to play basketball or toss the football around. So get outside and have fun!

Head off-campus! Looking for some fun off-campus? Head into Providence on the RIPTA! Do some shopping at Providence Place. Or take a ride to Pawtucket for a Pawtucket Red Sox game. You could even take the RIPTA as far as Newport for a day at the beach. I just went in town to a Providence basketball game recently, and was surprised how quick and easy it was to get Downtown. And free transportation on the RIPTA is always a bonus!

Attend Bryant events! Now that the weather is getting better, Bryant will be holding lots of outdoor events and competitions. Spring sports are starting up, so now is the time to get your lacrosse tickets! And don’t forget to head to the baseball field to watch our Bulldogs try for another Top 25 national ranking!

(For our incoming freshman) Visit us on tours! When I walked on campus last spring on my admissions tour, I knew that this was going to be a great university to be a part of. Watching how students enjoy themselves on campus, seeing the grounds and campus layout, seeing what kind of community we have here at Bryant; all can be found on our Spring tours. So if you’re a transfer student, an accepted high school senior, or a high schooler just starting their college search, I highly advise you to come visit us this spring!
