National Women’s Day: the Sorority Edition

This Wednesday was National Women’s day where I saw an influx of women power and empowerment throughout my day. Of course, there was an influx of pictures on social media accounts showcasing women loving other women and thanking them for all of their support. But I did not think it was going to be to the velocity that it was to. I could not go on any account without seeing a mass amount of media posts dedicated to this holiday–and it amazed me.

What struck me the most though was my own group of female friends. This day made me even more appreciative of all of the strong women in my life. I did not realize until this school year how badly I was missing this from my life. I have always had great friends but never a solid group of women who challenged me to be a better version of myself. Thankfully I finally found that group of women last semester. No matter what anyone says about joining a sorority, it literally is one of the best things you can do. Especially here at Bryant.

Everyday, no matter where I am or what I am going through, I have 80+ backing me up no matter what. They challenge me to do more with myself and to always improve and grow along the way. I have never felt more supported during the times when I am down, and have never felt more empowered during my moments of achievement. There is always a shoulder a cry on, and person to get dinner with, someone to laugh along with, and endless of memories made everyday. I feel like I am living National Women’s Day everyday here at Bryant. 16473190_1241605942584562_4167569680494723519_n
