Bryant Greek Week

One of the greatest weeks of the year is finally here at Bryant University, and it has set the Greek Community on fire. Greek Week is a time for the entire community to get together and to bond while competing in different kinds of events. This is my first year participating in it and it has definitely lived up to the hype so far.

My favorite day was hands down Monday. The energy was at an all time high because of it being the first day, and because of how beautiful it was out. The sun was shining down on the entire campus that day and was putting everyone into a good mood. Monday’s event was field day themed; therefore, there was a good old three legged race, tug of war, and relay race to name a few. It was quite the scene to see every single sorority and fraternity on the small field right outside of the Unistructure. In the surrounding suite buildings, people were watching from their windows while cheering on their friends. It felt amazing to be in the middle of it all.

My family tree at Greek Week!

Overall, this week has reminded me why I joined Greek Life to be begin with. I was looking for this smaller sense of community where everyone knows each other. I wanted to have these bonds with people that are strengthened even more every time I hang out with them. I had felt empowered on my own as a student here at Bryant, but there was something about becoming a part of something bigger than myself that empowered me even more.

The question that is still lingering is, who will win it all this Greek Week?
