Keynotes at Bryant

One of my favorite aspects of life at Bryant is that our staff and students always find interesting and powerful figures to speak on campus. The best way for students to learn about careers is through those who have gone out and accomplished some of the strongest careers in their industries. Here are just a few of our recent and upcoming keynotes on campus:

Kevin Harrington – A couple weeks ago at our Bryant CEO Club’s BUNEEC event, our students were treated to a great keynote session by Kevin Harrington, one of the original Sharks on “Shark Tank” and a well-known entrepreneur. He is the inventor of the infomercial and a master of “As Seen on TV” products. His keynote this month was a tremendous success, and capped of another great BUNEEC event, sponsored by our CEO Club on campus. His best message for our students? Harrington challenges our young entrepreneurs to “disrupt the industry.” It was a fantastic event, and I encourage everyone, not only entrepreneurship students, to attend more of these CEO events.

Steve Wozniak – Ever hear about a little company from Cupertino, California once called “Apple Computer?” We wouldn’t have the development of the Apple Watch, the iPad, iPod, and of course the iPhone, if it wasn’t for the revolutionary Apple I and Apple II computers. Steve “Woz” Wozniak is one of the greatest pioneers in the tech industry, and we are extremely fortunate that President Machtley has gotten him for a discussion in April, right here on campus! The co-founder of Apple will be here for a moderated conversation Thursday, April 6, sponsored by Bryant’s Trustee Innovation Series. I’ll be trying to get tickets, so stay tuned for a blog about the event next month!
