Last Friday, I had the wonderful opportunity to take part in the annual Student Alumni Networking Dinner organized by the Student Alumni Association. This was the first time I had ever participated in this event and having roughly 30 days to graduation, I decided life was too short to miss out.
At the event, I met a good friend of mine who I had met at Liberty Mutual in January for a different networking social. She was a Senior Associate at State Street.
From 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., the networking reception with alumni and students went on and was by the dinner.
The room was very busy during the reception as students and alumni intermingled and shared stories. What was more intriguing was the stories of the two alumni who sat at our tables. The sheer sense of missing the school was what brought them back to engage with us.
They did well to share their experiences about life after school and gave us some great advice. They also managed to recount funny moments they had as students here and the classes that challenged them the most.
